The park is an ideal destination for bird watching and photography. It is a chance for casual walks and pleasant thoughts while sitting on one of the many viewing benches lining the shore.

The trail system follows a circle route for 2.8 kilometres and is used by joggers, dog walkers (dogs must be leashed on the trail), fly fisherman and, even, cross country skiers in the winter.

Moricetown Canyon is the home of the Wet'suwet'en First Nation people - one of the five First Nation communities located on or near Hwy 16. The main attraction is the Bulkley River, the Morice Canyon, the fish ladders and the wooden fish huts used for fishing.

A birdwatching destination complete with viewing platforms, birdhouses, sightseeing benches and boardwalk bridges. Once a glaciofluvial meltwater channel, the wetland eco system today is covered with oxbow lakes, grass meadows and died up waterways from beaver dams.

Tumbler Ridge

The forested park rests on the shores of Pinkut Lake. A small lake deep in the backcountry with forest, mountains and wildlife providing opportunities for picnicking, canoeing, boating, fishing and wildlife watching.

The moderate trail is rough in parts and does have some steep sections throughout the hiking route... but in general it is an easy hike. The should take an average person 3 hours to complete the 5 kilometre trek.

The trail system is a year round destination visited by many outdoor enthusiasts. In the spring, summer and fall the trail is a rainbow of colors explored by many on foot or bike. In the winter it is a popular destination for cross country skiers and snowshoers.

It is an easy-going short hiking trail (150 metres maybe) through a forest along the banks of the Hixon River which connects to a canyon and Hixon Falls. The canyon is home to chutes, river rapids, protective pools and swimming holes. It all depends on the season too, as river levels will fluctuate
