Storytelling and theatre have always been passions of mine. I have won awards for acting and writing in the past and am happiest when I’m behind the camera filming movies or in front of it entertaining an audience. With the demands of a high stress ICU career these creative parts of me went dormant for a long period. However, when moving I came across my great Uncle Jerome’s book titled Remembering Little Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Finding the book prompted me to put myself back out there and I look forward to sharing his stories.

Traditional granny square knit wool quilts have made a comeback. Quilts by local artisan Logymade can be found in the finest most luxurious vacation rental properties on the island. So cozy to curl up with a good book after a cup of tea or coffee. Wine always works too.

Historical glass fishing balls remind me of my childhood growing up in Little Bay, Placentia Bay, Newfoundland. My great uncle, Jerome Walsh, was a cod and salmon fisherman who fished the rough waters of the Canadian North Atlantic Ocean his entire life.
