The Newfoundland Embassy Pub is hosting it’s first annual Hot Dog Eating Competition on April 2, 2023 in support of the Bridges to Hope Food Aid Centre.
How to enter? Swing down to the pub at 79 New Gower Street, St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada (Downtown St. John’s).
There is a waiver that is required to be signed and a 25$ cash entry fee. The event is sponsored by Lamb’s Newfoundland, Corby Spirit and Wine, Quidi Vidi Brewery and Bidgood’s Supermarket & Liquor Store.

I have always marveled at eating contests (as an observer), not only the amount consumed but how fast, I think there is more gulping than chewing. I worked with someone who did this as a hobby, at the time he was hollow leg skinny but he informed me like anything else, there were techniques involved.
