Marysville Falls & Eco Park is an easy and rewarding stop near Kimberley BC. The creek flows year-round. Even in fall, when the water is lower, the waterfall still looks impressive as it pours into the canyon. The changing colours of the leaves make the walk even more scenic.
The Eco Park sits beside the highway. It has free parking for the waterfall, public washrooms, and shaded spots to relax. Visitors can check out the Westslope Cutthroat Trout sculpture and learn about the restoration work along Mark Creek. A marked crosswalk up the street makes reaching the trail simple.
The trail is about 1 km round trip and is enjoyed by people of all ages. The accessible boardwalk follows Mark Creek through cedar and fir trees, past small cascades along rocky ledges and the creek bank. The path eventually turns into a natural dirt trail near the lookout before reaching the fenced viewpoint. The 30-metre waterfall is the highlight and a great spot for photos or a quick break.
If you are travelling between Cranbrook and Kimberley, this is an easy outdoor stop to add to your day.
