The Great Trail which stretches from the Atlantic to the Pacific to the Arctic. Set amid cottage country and the beautiful Superior region of Ontario stretching from Gravenhurst and the beautiful Algonquin Park through to North Bay, Sudbury, Sault Ste Marie, the epic Sleeping Giant Provincial Park and city of Thunder Bay the Trans Canada Trail offers users the chance to get away from the busier tourist regions to have a personal and unique experience.
More than 900 km of trails, cycling routes and urban pathways ranging from the Muskokas to Thunder Bay including amazing sections such as The Seguin Recreational Trail, Ontario’s Ghost Trail (Old Nipissing Road Connector), Callander Trail, Kate Pace Way, Voyageur Cycling Route, Huron Shores, Voyageur Trail, Pukaskwa Coastal Trail, Casque Isles Trail, Nipigon to Red Rock Trail, and Kabeyun Trail.
This stretch of the Great Trail includes one of the longest stretches of cycling pathway in the province and offers possibilities for remote trekking in Northern Ontario as well as amazing hikes along the shorelines of Lake Superior! Among these there are a wealth of possibilities for wilderness exploration on the Ghost Trail, Pukaskwa Coastal Trail, Sleeping Giant’s Kabeyun Trail and epic Casque Isles Trail!
