Located north of Lundbreck Falls, east of the Livingstone PLUZ, you will find this cute little first come first served campground and recreation area off of HWY 22, on Range Road 20A, in southern Alberta Canada. Nestled along the Oldman River and under a huge bridge, you're sure to find some good fishing spots and beautiful sunsets with the mountains in the distance. Some of the campsites are very small and even a small tent would fill it up. But they are directly on the river! Beautiful and peaceful water running close by beneath you. The sites on the opposite side of the loop are larger and could easily accommodate a modest sized RV or trailer. You'll notice a few picnic tables and pit/vault toilets available. No boat launch at this location along the Oldman River, but you could hand launch. Access to the river is not the easiest as you're just climbing down the bank, but there are lots of well worn trails around to get down there.
This registration box is not the prettiest thing around, but this is where you pay for your stay at the Maycroft Provincial Recreation Area Campground.
A small loop campground, with some decent sized lots available on a first come first served basis. Self registration required for a maximum of 14 days.
Once upon a time, not too long ago, that building was a happening little place. It sits empty now, but is for sale. I think it's a fantastic location for adventurers coming and going from the backcountry! Maybe it will come back to life one day...

Little seeker really enjoyed watching the cars and trucks drive over the bridge. When we left, we drove over it an extra few times at her request haha.
I have not camped here yet,Diana Mohrsen We definitely do. But like you, I love my day drives too. I will explore anywhere I am allowed to go haha
I have not camped here yet, but imagine it would be an amazing dark sky to view the stars as there is literally nothing else around for awhile. More ...
