The 2025 CPKC Holiday Train rolled through Blackie in southern Alberta, Canada this December. An annual tradition across Canada and parts of the U.S.A. for 27 years now. With an exciting performance, the Barenaked Ladies braved the cold on the drop down stage. This was my 2nd time seeing them play. It has been 25 years though, since the 2000 Juno Awards in Toronto! It was really fun to see them still going after all these years. Everyone had a wonderful time and then the train carried onto Vulcan, Alberta. There is still time to potentially catch this fun Christmas train before it's last stop on December 21st in Gleichen, Alberta, on it's western Canada run. There are still stops in British Columbia, Alberta as well as Saskatchewan! Manitoba, if you missed it this year, watch for it starting mid November 2026!

A very cool sign that drops down to become the stage! Crowds gathered and ignored the minus temperatures to watch a mini Barenaked Ladies concert!

Little one pretending to be all tuckered out before the concert is even over. Plenty of dancing to follow still!

25 years ago (2000) I was lucky enough to see the Barenaked Ladies perform at the Juno awards. I was in the front row off on the side, and it was such a night to remember. Seeing them again was a great opportunity to brush off the old memories as well as making some new ones! Makes me smile they are still out performing and enjoying it. Even in the freezing cold.
