Spooky Camping Adventures for Family Fun
Experience a Frightfully Festive Outdoor Getaway
Step into Halloween at the campsite, where the wilderness transforms into a hauntingly magical world of ghosts, goblins, and glowing jack-o’-lanterns. Each photo captures the thrill of outdoor adventure wrapped in spooky charm — from an eerie campsite graveyard to trees draped in cobwebs. Families visiting our 1000 Islands KOA campsite discovered how camping becomes even more exciting under the October moonlight. With costumes, candy, and campfires, this is the perfect blend of spooky and family-fun adventure.
Family-Fun Camping Under a Spooky Sky
Moreover, Halloween at the campsite brings families together in a unique outdoor celebration. While tents and trailers light up with lanterns and laughter, children delight in trick-or-treat trails that wind through the woods. In addition, our themed photo gallery showcases decorated RVs, skeletons by the firepit, and carved pumpkins glowing beside picnic tables. Memories are made as families roast marshmallows, share ghost stories, and enjoy the crisp autumn air.
Happy Halloween!

Once the sun went down, the spooky campsite really came "alive". A little up-lighting and a smokey campfire made everything just that much more spooktacular!

A spooky evening at the campsite, featuring the shaking spooky, scary-faced tree, flying ghosts, dusty cobwebs, glowing jack-o-lanterns and chained up skeletons! Wasn't enough to scare away the trick or treaters - so much candy was given out tonight!

Dressing up for Halloween at the campsite is something everyone can get into, including the skeleton, the gorilla, the bear and the purge!

Here's a "before" photo of our trick or treater candy stash... the "after" photo pretty much looks the same, except that it's dark out and the bowl is empty!

Here's the shaking spooky, scary-faced tree in all his glory in the daytime. Being inflatable, he packs up very small and blows up very large. His shimmery trunk and wiggling limbs bring a natural spooky element to the campsite.

There may have been a few different types of skeletons at our campsite this Halloween... including this piranhas. Plus two jack-o-lanterns as seen in the daytime.

This spooky campsite skeleton wasn't getting very far from our site on Halloween - he was all chained up at the edge of the graveyard.

Everything is spookier with lots of cobwebs! Don't worry, we removed every last bit of web and decorations before we left the campsite that weekend! No nature was harmed in the making of this spooky Halloween scene!

Who camps beside a graveyard? Apparently we do! Looks like that truck drove right over that unsuspecting graveyard skeleton!
