• As 2021 comes to an end, I want to reflect on my experiences this year. I had some ups and downs in 2021, but I have become a more robust and better person for all my experiences this year.
This year, I represented Canada, not yet on the stage but as Canada's Travel ambassador for Miss Tourism as I prepared for the pageant. I was able to show fans of Miss Tourism WHY they should come and visit our beautiful country!
This year I had the honor of supporting local tourism; my series has grown more significant than I could have ever imagined starting out as cell phone videos from Vernon Winter Carnival Society, and growing. Visting more than 33 local experiences and events visiting Kelowna, British Columbia, City of Vernon - Local Government, Armstrong BC, and more to film single videos. Watch out for 2022; the series will continue!
I had the absolute pleasure to connect with Greg and Colin, the bros of tourism from the Canada Travel Website. With their help, I became an Adventure Seeker and had even more people see my vision and story of Inclusive tourism and why it is essential.
And thanks to them and my good friends at Experience Nicola Valley, I was able to do the HIGHLIGHT of my year.
I was greeted with open arms to the City of Merritt, B.C. I met so many Merrittonians, heard their stories, and experienced what makes Merritt and the Nicola Valley unique. I was able to visit the Merritt Visitor Centre, Moon Shadows RV Campground Merritt BC, Kekuli Café Merritt, Mandolin's Bagel & Coffeehouse, and SO many more, too many to tag. EVERYONE IN MERRITT MADE THIS YEAR AND THAT TRIP SO SPECIAL!
I traveled to Chicago for a photoshoot with the ever so talented Daniel DuVerney of Pageantfashionphotography and met up with my sister queens from past years.
I was on not one but TWO billboards in Times Square this December.
Oh, and I also finished my schooling this year, completing my Early Childhood Educator.
This year was a year to remember. And there are so many exciting things already in the works for 2022. Stay tuned for all that is in store.
Thanks again for supporting me this year! See you in 2022!
