A curious, cute Clark's Nutcracker stopped by to take a peanut from my hand while l was visiting Lake Louise, Alberta.
The Clark's Nutcracker is also known as a Clark's Crow. This non migratory bird is found in western North America from western Alberta and B.C. in the north to Baja, California and New Mexico in the south. His body is ash grey and his wings and tail are black and white. They like the conifer forests in the mountains at altitudes of 900 to 3900 meters.
