The final stay on our cross-Canada road trip was at Algonquin Park, Ontario. The Achray Campground is located past the Sand Lake Gate and is buried deep within the tall trees of Algonquin Park. Having only camped at campgrounds along Algonquin's Highway 60, finding the Sand Lake Gate proved to be a unique challenge, but well worth it. We had a waterfront site with access to a beautiful sandy beach on Sand Lake. Despite the time of year, there were many campers enjoying this section of Algonquin Park and it was the perfect ending to our cross- Canada adventures.
