    A Comic-con, short for comic convention, is an event that started as a place to buy and sell comic books. The first Comic Con was held in 1964, and since that time comic cons have expanded to now include related forms of pop culture entertainment, including movies, TV shows, and video games. A Comic-Con is where you can GEEK OUT!

    At this year's event in Victoria, BC, there will be special guests, workshops, (wig dyeing anyone?), cosplay, and cosplay competitions, comics, gaming, artists, merchandise, attractions and entertainment! Fun for the entire family!

    Friday, Sept. 23, 3PM - 9PM
    Friday, Adult 1-Day Pass - CA $26.25
    Friday, Child 1-Day Pass - CA $10.50

    Saturday, Sept. 24, 10AM - 6PM
    Saturday, Adult 1-Day Pass - CA $36.75
    Saturday, Child 1-Day Pass - CA $10.50

    Sunday, Sept. 25, 10AM - 5PM
    Sunday Adult 1-Day Pass - CA $31.50
    Sunday Child 1-Day Pass - CA $10.50

    There are also 3-Day Pass, VIP 3-Day Pass and Family Pass ticket options all available for purchase online: https://capitalcitycomiccon.ca/tickets/ If tickets are purchased at the venue there is an additional $5 charge per ticket. Capital City Comic Con is spread over two fantastic venues: Victoria Conference Centre and the Crystal Garden across the street.

    In a typical year Capital City Comic Con welcomes over 9,500 pop culture fans who show off their cosplay costumes! Looking forward to seeing you there!

    Christmas Alone Together filming, extras needed

    Hallmark and Lifetime TV are turning downtown Vernon into Christmas....in August! And they are asking people to be extras!!
    All You need to do is show up by Vernon Towne Cinema (the downtown 1900 block Plaza) in your winter gear and you can be an extra in the movie(s).

    Aug. 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 ...
