Victoria Festival of Authors 2022

The Victoria Festival of Authors held in Victoria BC, is Vancouver Island's largest, and liveliest, celebration of books and book lovers. The festival celebrates the imagination and invites writers from Vancouver Island and beyond to share their works with readers. It covers politics to poetry, science to music, and history to thrillers.

This year it will again be held as a hybrid event featuring both traditional and virtual programming. Local authors will participate at a number of venues around the city the fee ranges from $0 for the virtual zoom events to $20 for the in-person events.

The festival runs from the evening of Wednesday, September 28th to the evening of Sunday, October 2, 2022, with afternoon (3:00 PM) and evening (7:30) events.
