The 2022 SaskPower Windscape Kite Festival will once again take flight in Swift Current, Saskatchewan on Saturday, June 18th, and Sunday, June 19th. This world-class event attracts kite flyers, enthusiasts, and fun-loving people from across the globe to one prairie field to enjoy an exciting weekend of kiting and family fun.
The skies above Swift Current will fill with a colorful array of some of the most unique kites in the world. This free-admission festival features beautiful, original handmade art kites, giant creature kites the size of houses, screaming stunt kites flying in tandem, and a one hundred kite train soaring to the skies. Free flying lessons are provided.
At Windscape, everyone can experience the thrill of flying in the vast Saskatchewan air space with some of the world’s best kite artists and performers.
Kids of all ages will enjoy balloon sculpting, the bubble station, juggling tent, mystery sandpile, bol racing, face-painting, and ongoing kite workshops. There is also a Kite Store with many kinds of kites for all skill levels.
Please join us for the SaskPower Windscape Kite Festival in Swift Current on the Southwest Hill. The festival begins on Saturday, June 18 at 10:00 am and has no admission charge. Ends Sunday at 5:00 pm.
