The Robert Bateman Exhibit has been held over until October 26th at the Penticton Art Gallery. A lovely collection of both earlier works and later paintings. The art gallery is situated on beautiful Okanagan Lake in Penticton, British Columbia.
Cards accompanied most of the pieces in the Robert Bateman Exhibit. They might tell about the subject of the painting, why it was painted, or something else about why the artist chose that subject.
Congo Forest, 1957, is another of Robert Bateman's earlier paintings. We hardly recognize this as one of his paintings as his style has changed so much over the years.
