Robert Bateman Exhibit at Penticton Art Gallery
The Robert Bateman Exhibit has been held over until October 26th at the Penticton Art Gallery. A lovely collection of both earlier works and later paintings. The art gallery is situated on beautiful Okanagan Lake in Penticton, British Columbia.

Robert Bateman's wildlife paintings are really something to marvel at. The exhibit was certainly worth going to. I'm glad I didn't miss it.

This elk was drawn when Robert Bateman was 12 years old. He gave it to his mother as a gift. Already so talented.

Congo Forest, 1957, is another of Robert Bateman's earlier paintings. We hardly recognize this as one of his paintings as his style has changed so much over the years.

This 1960 painting, White-tailed deer, was done with oil on cardboard. Quite different in style than his more recent paintings.
