I went for a ride with the Hamilton Glowriders in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The Hamilton Glowriders group is a friendly bicycle gang that organizes night rides between May and September. One of the intentions of the Glowriders is to promote safe and legal cycling and help spread friendly cycling vibes.
I felt a strong sense of community as I joined fellow cyclists on a journey through the heart of Hamilton, Ontario. In a sea of neon lights, the streets came alive with music, laughter, and a variety of colourful LED displays. The Glow Ride was a unique opportunity to explore the beauty of Hamilton at night, all while illuminating the streets with my own glow-in-the-dark attire. The Glow Ride was a fantastic example of Hamilton’s commitment to promoting a sustainable and active way to enjoy the urban environment.

Just under 100 people came out to join the Hamilton Glowriders light up the City of Hamilton. A number of locals along the route, came outside to watch the large group of cyclists illuminate the streets.
The Hamilton Glow Ride leaders follow bicycle rules in the City of Hamilton. Ride leaders also made sure that busy crossings were monitored to ensure a safe ride for all Hamilton Glow Ride participants.
