The 22nd annual Soupfest fundraiser was held recently at the Convention Centre in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Soupfest is the major fundraiser for Living Rock Youth Centre, a local non-profit in Hamilton that supports vulnerable youth in the city. The funds are used to provide programs and resources to support youth in need. Each $20 ticket purchased for the event was exchanged for four bowls of soup from a variety of local restaurants. The event also featured live music to entertain us as we enjoyed our soup samples. Each of the restaurants prepared, served, and donated around 175 litres of soup as they competed to be voted the best soup of the event. Soupfest was a tasty way to come together to support youth in the City of Hamilton by creating a fun, local, and delicious experience.
