Curious about washroom facilities, I imagine a separate heated regular building? Oh, and I guess at that temperature no snacks as the hot chocolate would be a frozen cube as well within seconds.  More ...

    Our hot chocolate stayed hot in our travel mugs. That's the only way you are allowed to take beverages inside.

  • Was just thinking too, if it takes two months to build do they take it down at the end of the festival or let it melt throughout the warmer months?

  • Kim Kenyon I think they leave it to melt. The festival closed early only once in 2019 due to warm temperatures. The castle flooded.

  • Checked with my friend who volunteers at the castle and they take out all the wood and electronics and then it melts into the lake.
