Most of my favourite discoveries were not planned. We ended up in Huntsville, Ontario because we rescued an injured snapping turtle from the highway and brought it to the Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary in Bracebridge. We decided to drive through Muskoka on the way home and were looking for my favourite road-trip treat - ice cream.
Belly Ice Cream is just off Hwy 11 in Huntsville and we are so happy we stopped there! They make hand-crafted artisan ice cream onsite at their Scoop Shop and it’s some of the best ice cream we’ve ever had.
Belly Ice Cream is created onsite at the Muskoka location. Their Production Kitchen looks sleek, clean and well-organized. It wasn’t in use when we were there, but I can imagine how good it must smell!
