Calgary International Airport felt eerie to walk through. After my flight was canceled, a hotel trip, and return to the airport we had a 12-hour layover (then the flight was canceled again) however I spent that 12 hours exploring the airport.
The whole of "A" terminal (including A security) was not in use due to covid-19, including the food court. While accessible to the public inside the airport there was no staff, limited lights on, and chairs tapped off, it was eerie to see a whole terminal empty.
We found plenty of lounging and seating areas with virtually no one around, brail was everywhere for individuals who are blind or require brail. However, the airport has no signage for hearing loops or captioning services. When asked the staff members around did not know, I am emailing to ask if these services are available and will post updates when I get a response. Calgary International Airport does however have "Assistance needed" seats at ticketing, as well as at every gate which is something not seen in every airport!
