Bellevue Park is a waterfront sightseeing and activity destination park located on the banks of the St. Mary's River in the community of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. Sault Ste. Marie is located in Algoma Country in Northern Ontario.
Bellevue Park is an urban community park measuring 17 hectares (42 acres). The park includes over 80+ picnic tables and many more sightseeing benches and viewing decks. Many enjoy great marine and water views.
Also located in the park is a large playground area, 2.4 kilometre asphalt walkway, an outdoor bandshell with a grass amphitheatre, many flower gardens and a greenhouse exhibit... as well as... many other features and natural attractions like a water fountain and duck pond.
Bellevue Park is popular for summer activities like picnicking, walking, sightseeing, biking, boating, sailing, kayaking and rollerblading. The paved trail is baby stroller and wheelchair friendly.
Many people visit the park to picnic with friends and family, attend a concert at the outdoor amphitheatre, take a relaxing walk, snap pictures, sightsee boats and/or visit the flower gardens and greenhouses.
The flower gardens include the Ship's Wheel Garden, Rose Memorial Garden and the Memory and Hope Garden.
There are two greenhouse exhibits accessible from Bellevue Park. One greenhouse is open for public viewing while the other greenhouse is used for forestry studies by the research facilities near the park. The Great Lakes Forest Research Centre also operates a native tree arboretum.
There is a boat launch at the public marina on the outer edge of the park. The public marina is located on the west end of the park near Pine Street while a private sailing club is located on the south end near Lake Street.
In Bellevue Park is a causeway connecting to the 6.8 hectare (16.8 acres) Topsail Island green space area. The island is popular for birding, dog walking, hiking and xc skiing.

:How to Get Here: From the downtown area of Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, Canada travel east on Queen Street. Turn right on Pine Street to access the west side of the park and marina. Turn right on Lake Street to access the east side of the park near the yacht club.
