The Post Taphouse opened its doors in scenic Torbay, Newfoundland, Canada, this May long weekend. I was super excited to visit the new food and drink establishment next door to my home around the bay. In fact, I felt the new bar was an awesome addition to the historical town. Located just a mere 20 minute drive from downtown St.John’s, the new watering hole is a great little day trip just outside of the capital city. Located in historic Torbay, the dining and alcohol establishment is actually the site of the old town post office - which is where it got its name! Local art and rustic NL decor can be seen displayed throughout the pub. Furthermore, the Post Taphouse offered a spectacular Oceanview patio overlooking Torbay, NL. The Spring sunset over the North Atlantic Ocean turns the sky many different shades of pink, orange, and purple in the evenings. I am really looking forward to returning on a warmer day to sample the food menu and try some more different beers and cocktails. This place is going to be very popular this Summer as it’s located next to multiple segments of the East Coast Trail hiking network around the coast. The Post Taphouse is the PERFECT place to stop for brews, views and a snack after a hike in the picturesque town of Torbay, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.
