Happy Earth Day 2023

Hiking the Burnt Head Trail in Cupids Newfoundland and Labrador was just what the doctor ordered. I am so grateful to be able to live home on the island and have enjoyed immersing myself in nature and practicing mindfulness, meditation and yoga in some amazing places.  In fact, a daily coastal nature walk is part of my personal daily wellness routine.  'Forest bathing" is also a great way to connect with the land and nature.

The Burnt Head Trail in Cupids Newfoundland offered a surreal rugged coastal seascape perfect for landscape photography. Furthermore, there were multiple remains of traditional root cellars scattered across the rocky terrain.  Informational signs with QR codes to scan were present along the trail sharing the history of the resettled area with hikers.

Finally, my favorite part of this trail was the well known Cupids sea arch rock formation. The popular geological feature was carved by the force of the sea and draws travellers to this area. I will be featuring more of this trail soon in the Parks and Trails section on my profile.
