Wellington Point Park is Delta BC is a great place to watch a sunset. The beautiful North Shore Mountains fade into shades of blue at the end of the day. Many people use this boat launch at Wellington Point to go onto the Fraser River. The parking lot held at least six boat trailers.
It is a wonderful place to do some birdwatching. Tonight the swallows were flitting here and there. I saw some ducks with their partly grown ducklings. In the past I have watched herons fishing in the shallows and seen swans on the water.
People come to this park to fish. At the time of this video, there were seven people on the pier with lines in the water, not counting the people on the boat.
From Wellington Point Park, one can see Richmond off in the distance. To the left is Westham Island. Directly across from the park are several islands that seem to blend together in the landscape. I've never heard them mentioned before: Barber Island, Duck Island, etc., until I looked it up on the map.
