From March 1st to 3rd, the shores of Yellowknife Bay came alive with the sound of chisels and the sight of master artisans at work during the 8th Annual Carving Symposium at SnowKings’ Winter Festival.
International, national and local teams gathered to participate in this prestigious event, consisting of three members. With nothing but their creativity and skill, they embarked on a journey to transform colossal 10x10x10 ft blocks of snow into awe-inspiring sculptures, all against the backdrop of the majestic snow castle. With no set theme, artists let their creativity soar, sculpting magnificent creations.
Join us as we marvel at the beauty of these frozen masterpieces and celebrate the enduring spirit of artistic expression in the heart of winter.
