Are you finding the restrictions around staying close to home difficult? Learn how you can use this time to develop new skills so that when you can finally go out and explore, you'll do so with a new vision of your local landscape.

It's a call to action for lovers of nature and culture to take control of our experience and use it as an opportunity to grow, learn, and become more knowledgeable. We may never get this opportunity again to focus on our micro-landscapes the way we do today.

In these challenging times, while we're spending more time in our neighbourhoods than we may have before, it's the perfect tome to become absolutely intimate with every bird, wildflower, and unique feature around us. This week on "Supporting Local Tourism" we were in Vernon British Columbia hiking the Blackcomb way grey canal trail.
This trail follows the old canal waterway, which used to transport water to the nearby homes and farms, while no longer a canal, you can still see some of the canal pieces left behind.
This trail is truly unique, as it connects to a second parking lot and acts as a full loop, meaning you get 2 trails in one!
