The “eh Team” Brothers of eh Canada Travel

“No two brothers in Canada show as much love for travel, tourism, adventure and country as Colin & Greg Girard. They have a persistence, determination and dedication that is unrivaled in the tourism industry today”

Thank you for visiting eh Canada Travel online! So, it seems, you are a tad curious to learn more about us – who is behind the writings, photography, research and development of Who wouldn’t be, it is a unique travel website and even a better story.

We are sure you would like to know everything about us like meeting our massive writing department, our scores of photographers located around the country and our website creation team. But we cannot introduce you to them because they do not exist. Sorry to disappoint you but what you get are two brothers who wear a lot of hats.

beach-greg-colin20110715_80Colin and Greg Girard are the brother team who created eh Canada Travel.  It was a dream-come-true created from their love of the outdoors and a few loose coins in their pockets.

There were no hand outs along the way – no big government grants – no angel investor – no support from local tourismopoly organizations – not even a slush fund to dip into – just guts and determination. For private tourism associations, like eh Canada Travel, they have been on the receiving end of many nasty threats and bullying tactics because – as one association put it so nicely – “they do not like competition and they are going to squash us. ” The brothers thank them everyday, “for providing the motivation to work hard and long building Canada’s biggest and best national website.”

“The in depth coverage of Canada from guys that really know their stuff is refreshing and not duplicated.” Steve Grams – Family Travel with a Day Job Blog

In the beginning there was 1 website marketing Sidney, BC on Vancouver Island on the west coast of Canada. Clients kept applauding us on our unique approach to tourism and encouraged us to expand so we did. First was Vancouver Island, then BC, then Yukon, NWT and Alberta. Today, we just launched Saskatchewan and we are expanding in to Eastern and Atlantic Canada.

“I just wanted to commend you on the awesome work you’ve done with eh Canada Travel, especially with the Parks and Trails sections. The pictures are great, and the descriptions are thorough. Canada needs this sort of thing. Keep up the good work, guys!” John V.

And… it gets better… the website is all original content and photos. Much of it is self researched by the two brothers and the two brothers only. But that is changing too as the brothers are launching Canada’s first interactive, content contribution website which will connect the entire country with travelers, and locals.

The brothers now also share their real time adventures, tourism news, travel tips, on a blog called… what else… the ehCanada Travel Blog. Today, the blog continues to receive many travel blog awards including A TOP Canadian Travel Blog by Flight Network International.

Colin GirardColin Girard, in his previous professional life, worked in the tourism and hospitality industry slaving away for the big man. Now Colin writes his own ticket in life as the computer guru of eh Canada Travel.

Colin’s favorite outdoor hobbies and interests include golfing, snowboarding, website creation, hiking, camping and fishing.

greg-profile1Greg Girard, in his previous professional life, was a cog in the wheels of corporate Canada. He previously worked as a international marketing director for a software and publishing company. Greg is the marketing mouth, lead researcher, photographer and writer for eh Canada.

Greg’s favorite hobbies and interests include backpacking, hiking, snowboarding, golfing, reading and wilderness photography.

Both brothers are single, happy and travel extensively researching tourism communities and adventures across Canada. Both are confident that their positive thinking, great outlook on life and enthusiasm will help them achieve their lofty goals.

To this day the brothers are still researching, writing and building websites, accumulating more bumps and bruises along the way, while rediscovering Canada over and over again.
