” With so many exciting bloggers heading into 2019, it is a good idea to start voting for your favorite blogger now. “

The Merritt Blogging Awards mark the 6 month milestone into our ENV Community Blogging initiative here in the Nicola Valley. Woot! Woot! Above all else, the community marketing program is moving forward in a very positive manner. Therefore it is time to have some fun recognizing some of the blogging stars so far for Experience Nicola Valley.

Community Content Marketing Program

This first-to-market project contributes to the growth and online awareness of small and rural Canadian communities. The innovative community project increases authentic content online, reduces administrative costs, builds a stronger community brand, and improves effectiveness, efficiency and quality of information.

We have gone from 5 bloggers to a whopping 18. In other words the program is doing very well and will only get better. As a result it only seems right to acknowledge some of the bloggers for their efforts.

Merritt Blogger Meeting 2019

“It felt like the right time to have our very first 2019 ENV Bloggy Awards”

February 4th, 2019 we presented our ENV Bloggy Awards to some of the bloggers who are leading the pack by example. The red carpet was rolled out. (Not really, but we did have it up on the projector screen). The awards shined up real nice with my fingerprints all over them. Lastly we made a toast celebrating Merritt and all who live here.

I thought I heard the bloggers thinking, “What is Greg up to now?!”

In addition we announced 3 finalists with each award to build up the excitement. As a result the crowd hummed and hawed as each name was being read out. I, being the host of the 2019 ENV Bloggy Awards, got to rip open the envelopes and announce the winners.
