The International Peace Gardens is massive border crossing park measuring over 930 hectares (2300 acres). Every year, the staff at the park plant over 150,000 flowers. Within the park there many attractions and surrounding the floral gardens is a forest of trees.
All-year great family destination.The seven kilometres of trail available to be trekked at FortWhyte Alive provide visitors with exercise and the opportunity to view its diverse habitats. FortWhyte Alive is open 364 days a year.
Vital Park measures 46 hectares in size. It is considered one of the larger city parks in the City of Winnipeg therefore it attracts allot of attention. Many visit the area for walking, jogging, picnicking, birdwatching and sightseeing.
The Forks National Historic Site is a 9 acre park with open green space , interpretive displays, and sculptures situated next to The Forks Market Plaza, Johnston Terminal and Festival Park, so there is something for everyone to enjoy.
The nature park measures over 259 hectares (640 acres). There is a reception centre, interpretive centre, day use picnic area, 7 kilometres of interpretive hiking trails, floating boardwalks, bird houses, five lakes, wetlands, fishing pond and a 28.3 hectare (70 acre) bison refuge.
