Mel DeAnna Trail is an easy grade loop trail located south of the community of Castlegar. BC in the Kootenay region of British Columbia, Canada. The highlights of the wilderness hike is the birdwatching pond, of which, the trail loops around.

Some of the activities enjoyed on the lake include fishing, camping and canoeing. No power boats are permitted on this lake. There is a roof top boat launch located on the lake. Fishing is best enjoyed by trolling. Trout is the fish to catch here.

Gorman Lake Trail is an alpine lake and hiking trail in the backcountry mountains situated north of the community of Golden, BC in the Kootenay region of British Columbia, Canada. The lake destination is part of the Dogtooth Range of the Columbia Mountains.

The trail has 3 trailheads. One trailhead is located at the Highway #3a Bridge crossing the Kootenay River. Another access trailhead is located via the McPhee Creek FSR (Forest Service Road) at the Brilliant Terminal Station. The most eastern trailhead is in Glade.

The Blanket Creek Park is planted in a forest of white pine, western cedar and second growth western hemlock trees. The park on Upper Arrow Lake includes a day use area, car top boat launch, campground and hiking trails. The boat launch is not directly on the lake and requires a short portage.

Revelstoke

There are viewing benches constructed around Maiden Lake. Ideal front row seats for birdwatching, people watching and having lunch. At one end of the lake is a small sandy beach and a swimming pier.

The Columbia and Western Rail Trail spans British Columbia’s Kootenay Boundary Region, offering scenic views, wildlife sightings, and historic landmarks. Ideal for hiking, cycling, and outdoor enthusiasts, it is one of Canada's best rail trails.

Moyie Lake Provincial Park is 90.5 hectares and was established in 1959. The park was established to protect the habitat around the lake as it is home to many plants and wildlife. Some of the wildlife protected in the park include beaver, muskrat, whitetail deer, songbirds, shorebirds and waterfowl.

St. Mary Lake is popular for fishing, canoeing, swimming and birdwatching. The roads and mountains around St. Mary Lake are popular for hiking, cycling, mountain biking and hiking. The St Mary River enters and exits the lake. The exit river is a good put- in point for rafting.

Gyro Park is a very popular community recreation day park in the heart of Nelson, BC which is situated in the Kootenay region of British Columbia, Canada. The garden park extends onto a rock outcropping viewpoint which overlooks the downtown sector of Nelson, BC and the west arm of Kootenay Lake.
