The village rests in between the Monashee Mountains to the west and the Selkirk Mountains to the east. The community is a commercial and industrial hub servicing many of the smaller villages in the region including Warfield, Sunningdale, Rivervale, Oasis, Columbia Gardens, Fruitvale, Montrose and Glenmerry.
