Unlocking Positivity: A Group of Tumbler Ridge Women Retreat for Self-Discovery and Emotional Empowerment.

In a world filled with numerous challenges, seeking relief is something that we all yearn for. That is why the organizers of this event planned a stress-relieving, creative retreat for women that aimed to be both educational and empowering.

The warm-up exercises and agenda were carefully crafted to help women identify what makes them happy and to explore various self-care strategies that would enable them to maintain a positive mindset.

Additionally, the workshop included an introduction to the science behind NLP neurolinguistic programming, and participants were taught how to create a "good vibe anchor" - a symbol that would trigger positive emotions in any situation.

There were a lot of good vibes and warmth while outside ruled the winter.

Northern BC Artist Lorna Penner Shares Creative Inspiration and Success with Silk Painting

During the retreat in Tumbler Ridge, which was situated in the creative Northern BC, Lorna Penner, an artist from the 90-day creative survival challenge living in the Fort St. John, BC area, shared her thoughts on inspiration and her recent creation. As a result of her tremendous success, she was featured with her silk painting artwork.

"I find my favourite motivation to be my excitement in seeing the beauty surrounding me. I love the stillness of nature and the outdoors which contradicts the energy it gives me with a million thoughts and ideas forming in my head. I take this and go into my studio where I lose time and worries from anything else.

This is a good life. I am very grateful for it.

" As I begin each day and look out the window I feel so thankful to be living this beautiful life in the north. It is these moments that I want to capture and share through my creative process.

I am appreciative and grateful of feeling connected to the earth and nature, making choices of design, technique and colour that depict how I see my world."
