Teegatha-oh-zheh Park

Teegatha-oh-zheh is a recreation park destination located in the community of Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, Canada. Teegatha oh zheh (Te ag tha o zha) in the Gwich'in First Nation mother tongue means, "Coming home over the same trail or portage on which you left."

The Teegatha-oh-zheh Park is forested park with many private areas for solitude and deep thought. The park is explored via gravel hiking trails which lead hikers and walkers to a pond, some sitting benches and some clay cliffs with views of the community of Whitehorse, Yukon Territory.

The trails are narrow. There are blind corners and sections of the route where with trees encroach on the hiking trail. Because of the heavy brush and tree cover the park is a popular destination for songbirds and squirrels. They are brave squirrels too as they show little fear of humans.

Near the parking lot is an open section of the park decorated with sitting benches, some interpretive signs and the beginning of the hiking and walking trails.
