Tynehead Regional Park is a recreation and educational destination located on the banks of the Serpentine River in the community of Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.

The 260 hectare park consists of a network of walking trails exploring meadows, forest and a river valley. The parkland is forested with meadows consisting of maple and spruce trees and a forest floor covered in moss, deadfall trees, ferns and salal.

The main features in the river park include the fish hatchery and the Butterfly garden. There are over 10 kilometres of recreation trails in the park and there is an off leash dog area for your four legged friends.

The trail system follows an assortment of gravel and earthy paths, boardwalk sections and crosses over a number of wooden bridges. There are many smaller creeks in the park. Some of the streams and creeks in the Tynehead Regional Park include the Hjorth Creek, Miraki Creek and the Meridian Creek.

The trail system in the Tynehead Regional Park leads to viewing areas for birdwatching and to viewing platforms near the fish hatchery for watching salmon spawn. There are song birds, waterfowl and predator birds to view, as well as, some mammals which visit the park like coyotes.

The main trails in the park include the Perimeter Trail, Hatchery Trail, Salmon Habitat Loop Trail and the Birch Grove Trail.

Perimeter Trail : The trail is a paved interpretive trail with information signs detailing the habitat and surrounding environment. The route is fairly level, east going and suitable for all ages and fitness levels. It is a baby stroller and wheelchair friendly trail.

Salmon Habitat Trail : The loop trail is a gravel trail with some boardwalk sections. The trail provides areas where there are opportunities to view the salmon spawning. The route is fairly level, east going and suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

Hatchery Trail : The trail is a gravel trail leading to the fish hatchery and viewing areas. The route is fairly level, east going and suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

Birch Grove Trail : The trail is a paved route which is very flat and easily accessible. The route explores a grove of trees and connects to other trails in the park. It is a baby stroller and wheelchair friendly trail.

There are four entrances to the Tynehead Regional Park. Each with its own selection of services and amenities. Each accessing a different section of the park.

The Hatchery Entrance (south) includes a washroom, picnic day use area, parking lot and information signs.

The Serpentine Hollow Entrance (northwest) includes a washroom, information signs and parking area. Explore 300-400 metres down the trail towards the Serpentine River is a picnic day use area.

The Tynehead Hills Entrance (southeast) connects to the Perimeter Trail. There is a parking lot, information signs, washroom and a day use picnic area.

The Serpentine Fields Entrance (north) connects to the Perimeter Trail. There is a parking area, information signs, washroom, off leash dog area and a day use picnic area.

The main entrances are located at 168th Street and 101st Avenue, 96th Avenue near 168th Street and 161st Street just south of 102 Avenue.

The two best entrances are the Fish Hatchery Entrance on 96th Avenue near 168th Street and the Serpentine Fields Entrance on 168th Street north of 96th Avenue.
