Creative Artists in North BC Canada

North British Columbia artists training goes into the second round.

Creative Survival Training is a 90-day process of creative artistic pursuits.

The buzz about the creative survival training in British Columbia's North began right after the completion of the 2022 challenge.

Creative Artists in North BC Canada's next 90-day challenge takes the participants into exploring passive income for the creator. Digital opportunities and online presence are part of the task to be completed. As the creative community in the north grows, so does this initiative. The upcoming program is open to visual artists, photographers and silk painters. The focus is on empowering creatives in the area served by SPMT. It is a journey of dedication and effort before a creative or artist can say, "I do wonderful work for wonderful in a wonderful way serving wonderful people and earning wonderful pay."

Inspiration is everywhere in the abundant northern landscape. Every season of the year brings forth its magic. The Tumbler Ridge Global Geopark is a playground for outdoor enthusiasts as it is for visual artists working in many different media.

Not only wildlife...

Although the above images speak about the survival of animals in the wilderness, the creatives and artists must master creative survival in the north. The mastery of creative survival for artists in the north has to do with similar requirements valid in the wilderness. New and well-known artists will join the next creative survival training. One of them is a Fort St. John artist Lorna Penner who is well-established in North Peace, BC.

Being creative and thriving is a creative challenge

There is a reason why I am writing about creative survival.  The path of a creative becoming successful and creating their own economy is a challenging obstacle course. Limited access to resources, Limited audience, and lack of exposure are some of the barriers in the way.

But the answer is in all creatives' core component - their creativity.

And there always is support for those who want to take their destiny into their own creative hands. Arts BC, Go BC and Art BC are a few examples of communities and resources. As well as, the people at EH Canada Travel are big promoters of artists.

Learning to thrive is indeed a challenging process.

Although the creative process known to all creators applies similarly to income generation, many creatives seek empowerment in learning to earn. The next 90-day learning challenge focuses on building an online presence and generating passive income. The training has a powerful side effect. The northern artists and creators are building a community of art professionals.
