Grohman Narrows Provincial Park is a 10 hectare day use park located west of the community of Nelson, BC in the Kootenay region of British Columbia, Canada. The park protects the sensitive habitat of several plants and animals while providing visitors with exceptional views of the Kootenay River.

Kootenay Photo Gallery - Grohman Narrows Provincial ParkThe Groham Narrows Provincial Park is a good place to go for a picnic and then enjoy the short loop trail in the park. The small circular trail explores the shoreline of the river and the dense brush in the area leading to a pond protecting painted turtles. Other unmanaged trails in the park lead to views of Narrows Island.

The small park includes a few viewing benches and picnic tables. Each picnic table is separated from the others providing some privacy. Unfortunately the picnic tables do not have views of the Kootenay River. The views are best enjoyed from the banks of the river. There are some slabs of rock protruding from the shore that provide good views and suntanning opportunities.

The Groham Narrows Provincial Park includes a small island which is home to some old growth black cottonwood trees that provide habitat for many of the birds in the region. From the shore there are various spots to view the birding wildlife in the area.

The park signage is good with some signs providing information on the local habitat. Some history of the park is located in the gravel parking lot where there is a monument dedicated to the founders of the park - Donna and Wilbert Anderson of Nelson.
