Minoru Park is a three fold park. One section of the park is a nature park with gardens, lake and walking paths, one section consists of sporting fields and the other section is the location of some of the popular community buildings in Richmond.
The natural section of the park includes a day use picnic area, sightseeing benches, walking trails, lake and some perennial flower gardens, none more pretty than the Pierrefonds Gardens.
The sporting fields section includes baseball fields, soccer fields, bowling green and basketball and tennis courts.
The buildings accessed from the Minoru Park include the Minoru Chapel, Richmond Art Gallery, Art Centre, Gateway Theatre, Richmond Cultural Centre, Richmond Public Library, Minoru Aquatic Centre, Minoru Ice Skating Arena and Minoru Fitness Pavilion.
The walking paths loop around the lake area and throughout the park. The paths around the lake are lined with sightseeing benches.
Other paths connect the various sections of the park with community buildings and sporting fields. There are over 3 kilometres of paved pathways in the park and some smaller sections of gravel pathways.
