The Kwuna Point Trail is a lightly trafficked 900-meter loop trail located, aptly enough, at the end of Kwuna Point Road. The terminus point of the road features a small parking lot and the trailhead is signified by a memorial plaque, commemorating an air crash that happened in 1943.

The trail is decently maintained, though markers are sporadic. As you walk along the trail, you will be treated to a number of different environments, including: Old Growth, beach, and sections of thick salal and ferns. There is also some blowdown along the route, but nothing to detract from the hike. As you round the Point and enter the home stretch, you might spy a small cabin. The cabin is open and you’re welcome to visit; however, it is asked that you leave the structure as you found it.

You will exit the trail along Kwuna Point Road, approximately 300 meters from the parking lot where you started. Total hiking time at a leisurely pace is about an hour.

While the trail is not difficult to navigate, there are some steep and slippery sections, so sturdy footwear is recommended.
