Gold Bridge, BC, Canada near Lillooet, Cariboo-Chilcotin Region, British Columbia is a small village wedged in between Downton and Carpenter Lakes in the Bridge River Valley region. The small community is surrounded by Mt. Zola to the west and Mount Truax to the east. The Bridge River Valley includes Bralorne, Gun Creek, Gun Lake, Tyax Lake, and Marshall Lake - with Gold Bridge being the main settlement.

The community is small with much of the action centred around the local hotel and general store. Hidden in the wilderness back country regions near the community is a few good self contained adventure resorts. Some specialize in fishing, off roading and relaxing in the summer and then, switch gears in the winter and focus on snowmobiling, heli skiing and cross country skiing.

The region enjoys a good selection of campgrounds and forestry recreation campsites providing overnight accommodations. Prepare well as summers are busy attracting many to the area for hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, dirt biking, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, swimming, water skiing, jet skiing and horseback riding.

The wilderness region around Gold Bridge consists of many lakes, creeks and rivers. All are surrounded by mountain vistas. All seem to be connected by a massive network of gravel roads and hiking trails. The most recreational popular lakes in the Gold Bridge area include Gun, Carpenter, Marshall and Tyaughton Lakes.

The lakes around the community of Gold Bridge provide a good fishing experience. Many of the lakes are stocked regularly and many of them house larger than life fish. Fisherman head out to the lakes and creeks in hopes of catching, either some rainbow trout, eastern brook trout, kokanee, Dolly Varden or whitefish.

Some of the hiking trails in the area to consider exploring include the Hurley River, Kingdom Lake, Gun Creek, Tyaughton Lake, Mowson Pond, Mount Penrose and the Walker Creek Trails. Some of the trails were actual routes used by gold panners in the pioneer days.

At all times when exploring the lakes and trails, in and around, Gold Bridge please respect and be aware of the wildlife including mule deer, moose, Black Bear, bighorn sheep and mountain goats.
