CBC Radio Road Show

You know things are going in the right direction when the media begins to start to contact you. Since the beginning of EH we have been fortunate enough to be contacted by magazines, websites, writers and government on a regular basis for use of our information and photos. I find it an honor to be asked to assist in promoting Canada because we here at EH Tourism live for exploring Canada.

Some in the media have been a real treat and pleasure to assist. Some have turned out to be rude and arrogant. Some have made false promises, that they never intended to keep. And some were just out right idiots. Just like any grouping of people there are the good and the bad. It is up to us to sort through the minefield and find the gems.

And what makes me really cringe is that, sadly enough, it is often the bad people and the bad things people do who get all the press and media time. I find that a sad mark on the human race. On this BLOG, we try to keep it positive. Although at times, I will have to admit, some of the egos, attitudes and perceived logic in tourism and government, make it real tough to stay true to this rule.

Any who… back to us. A few days ago EH Tourism was contacted by CBC Radio 2.  They were professional and polite. They were a joy to work with. They were nice enough to plug our EH Tourism adventures.

CBC Radio 2 requested we speak on some of the positive attributes of Dallas Road & Beach Drive in Victoria for their Great Canadian Song Quest promotion.  It is a promo for nominating your favorite roads in each province.  The winning roads have a song written about them.

Although we have traveled almost every road in the country numerous times over… and could have done a diatribe of comments on almost every road in the promotion, we were asked to comment on Dallas Road.  It was a a good group of people at the Great Canadian Song Quest.  I enjoyed contributing.

So tune into CBC Radio 2 or check them out online at http://www.cbc.ca/radio2/songquest/ and maybe you too have a thought about your favorite road in Canada.
