Michipicoten Post Provincial Park is a day-use historic park popular for hiking and beaches located south of the community of Wawa in Algoma Country, Ontario, Canada.

The park is situated on a sandy peninsula surrounded by waterways. The Michipicoten River lies to the east and Lake Superior to the west... and Michipicoten Harbour Michipicoten Post Provincial Park anchors the north and Mission Lake secures the south.

The Northern Ontario park measures 289 hectares (714 acres) and... prior to becoming a park... was once an Ojibway First Nation encampment and the site of a 1700's French Trading Post.

Highlights of the park are the sandy beaches, the 3 kilometres of hiking trails and the canoe paddle route up the Michipicoten River. The challenging Voyageur Trail passes through the park. There is no overnight camping or services in the park.

Driftwood Beach - a popular swimming and sandy beach area - is situated south of the park. Located nearby... north of the Michipicoten River Village - are the Silver and Magpie waterfalls and sightseeing viewpoints.

Travel to the community of Wawa, Ontario. From Wawa travel south 9 kilometres on Highway 17 and take the Michipicoten River Village exit. Follow the signs to the park.
