Grice Bay is a launch point located in the Pacific Rim National Park near the Villages of Tofino and Ucluelet, British Columbia, Canada. It is a popular location for launching adventures like boating, wildlife watching, kayaking, and fishing.
Grice Bay can be a busy boat launch for many ocean activities as it is in close proximity to some popular marine destinations. Because of the popularity the parking lot is a good size suited for boat trailers. From Grice Bay many boaters and kayakers have access to destinations including Tofino Inlet, Cannery Bay, Tranquil Inlet and Kennedy River.
Launching from Grice Bay provides access to many overnight marine destinations as well including Fortune Channel, Dawley Passage Provincial Park, Meares Island and Mosquito Harbour.
One of the more popular adventure destinations one can enjoy from Grice Bay is the world famous Clayoquot Sound. A very popular boating route for navigating Browning Passage leading to the heart of the Clayoquot Sound - Vargas and Flores Islands.
The site includes a small, raised grass lawn area, a picnic table and pit toilets. Bald Eagles and Great Blue Herons can often be seen nearby as boats and kayaks are being loaded and unloaded.
All visitors to the Pacific Rim National Park must purchase a Park Use Permit.
