Shuswap Lake is the main waterway destination located in the Thompson-Shuswap region of British Columbia, Canada for recreation and activity during the sunshine months. The main communities on the lake are Salmon Arm and Sicamous. The smaller communities include Canoe, Chase, Tappen, Blind Bay, Sorrento, Scotch Creek, Eagle Bay. All have marinas and boat launches.

Shuswap Lake is best known as a popular house-boating (houseboating) destination. Some of the other more popular activities enjoyed include water skiing, boating, paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming, camping and fishing for trout, sockeye salmon, burbot and whitefish.

The lake is in the shape of a capital "H" therefore having four arms. The arms are labelled as Seymour Arm, Anstey Arm, Salmon Arm and West Arm (Main Lake).

The surface area of Shuswap Lake measures approximately 30,960 hectares (309.596 sq.km / 119.535 sq.mi.) with over 400 kilometres of shoreline. There is reported to be over 34 inflow points on the lake including Adams River, Mara Lake, Eagle River, Shuswap River, Seymour River and the Salmon River.

Throughout the lake are various Provincial Parks. They are Shuswap Lake Provincial Park, Roderick Haig-Brown Provincial Park, Silver Beach Provincial Park, Cinnemousun Narrows Provincial Park and the Shuswap Lake Marine Provincial Park.
