Merritt BC. Monck Provincial Park is located on the northern shore of Nicola Lake. Only a 22km drive from Merritt's city centre. Making it ideal for shopping for all your camping provisions. Monck Provincial Park offers a wide assortment of recreational activities including camping, picnicking, swimming, fishing, boating, water-skiing, wind-surfing and hiking. Being a very family-oriented campground, this park has very high traffic during the summer season. In addition Merritt BC. Monck Provincial Park is a family-oriented camping ground that provides countless recreational outdoor activities for all ages. Located on Nicola Lake offers breathtaking views, and scenic trails while ending your day with some of the best sunsets in British Columbia Canada. 

Amenities Monck Provincial Park Merritt BC

Nicola Valley's Monck Provincial Park has 92 hectares with 120 R.V.  accessible campsites, including 17 double sites. Campground reservations are accepted, and first-come, first-served campsites are also available. Camping facilities include picnic tables, pit toilets, fire pits, firewood and water. Additionally, a concrete boat launch and a sani-station are also provided. Monck Park's public sandy beach is ideal for children. This iconic Provincial Park also has a large day-use/picnic area separate from the campsites. Additionally, a large open grassy area is perfect for lawn bowling, bocci, frisbee games, or sunbathing. Complete with picnic tables, barbeques and a few ponderosa pine trees to provide some shade.

Located 22km from Merritt BC, Monck Provincial Park's timeless beauty is family orientated with some facilities being wheelchair friendly. Monck Park offers time-out for children with an adventure playground and horseshoe pitch adjacent to the beach. No need to panic if you dropped your phone while out waterskiing Nicola Lake's pristine waters. A pay phone is located at the entrance gatehouse along with some basic necessities. And yes, Monck Parks concession store sells a variety of ice cream, soda, sunscreen, and bug spray. 

Monck Provincial Park Campground Dates

Monck Park located outside Merritt BC has full services from May 1 to September 30. Although, the main gate and one campground loop are open with limited services, from April 15 to April 30 and from October 1 to October 31. The park is still accessible for trail walks or beachcombing weather permitting. Monck Parks camping sites are RV friendly, levelled for tenting, toilets, fire pits, firewood and water, a concrete boat launch, and a sani-station also provided. Including being pet friendly. 

Nicola Lake Monck Provincial Park Word of Caution

Nicola Lake is subject to frequent sudden windstorms, posing a potential danger to small boats and swimmers. Also, this beautiful lake is renowned for its depth. Follow boating safety and do not drink and boat, always partner up while out kayaking or exploring all trails at Monck Provincial Park outside Merritt BC.
