Trail Length: 1.2km

Difficulty: Easy - Family
Park Amenities:
Hiking

Charlie Hartie Creek is a short out and back trail located at the top of 6th street, just off 1st Avenue. The trailhead is clearly marked and it is approximately 1km long (each way).

The trail starts off as a narrow path and gently slopes upwards. As you make your way along the trail, you will pass by lush mosses, vibrant ferns and impressive Cedar trees while the gentle sound of Hartie Creek lulls in the background. The first part of the trail is narrow, so you will have to walk single-file. Approximately 15 minutes into the hike, the trail widens, but its steepness also increases. As you hike, expect a climb of roughly 140 meters overall.

Charlie Hartie Creek Trail takes about 1-hour to complete, but could take longer depending upon how cautious one is descending the trail.

Note: The informal "Backyard Trails" system does intersect with Charlie Hartie.
