The trail network in the park is well maintained, well signed and most are easy going pathways. The main paved trail follows along the shores of the lake and provides many opportunities for sightseeing. Being paved the trail is very wheelchair and baby stroller friendly.

The sandy beaches include Water Ski, Hamsterly and Eagle Beach on Elk Lake... and Beaver Lake thewre is North and Beaver Beach. Most beaches provide change rooms, playground, picnic sites and toilets.

Beaver Beach on Beaver Lake is the most popular sandy beach in the regional park for families. Because of the playground and the lake water is shallow and, generally warm, the beach attracts many families with small children.

Many arrive at Beaver Beach for swimming and for quality time together with friends and family using one of the day use picnic sites. Some explore the lake by canoe or kayak visiting the little offshore islands in the middle of the lake.

Beaver Lake Park in Victoria, B.C., Canada also has an Equestrian Centre popular for horseback riding and horse enthusiasts. Any use of the centre requires pre-booking through the park office located in the park.

Eagle Beach is a more popular beach for launching a kayak or canoe. It is also a location which is very popular for practise sessions of many of our Canadian rowing teams. Elk Lake and Beaver Lake are connected by a walking path.

Hamsterly Beach also on Elk Lake is where many can watch wind surfers.
