Kathlyn Lake Park in Smithers, British Columbia, Canada is a small community recreation lake located just north of the community. The park is surrounded by trees, backed by mountains and situated in a rural neighbourhood. Being that is so close to the community of Smithers, BC it is visited by many during the summer months for swimming, canoeing and fishing.

The park area on Kathlyn Lake includes a small day use area with a boat launch for unloading roof top canoes and small boats. In the summer months there are many boats trolling on the lake fishing for Cutthroat Trout up to 1 - 1.5 lbs.

The lake is a scenic spot. One can partially see Hudson Bay Mountain and Glacier Gulch from the lake. If there is a down side, it is parking. It can get a bit tight for parking space and in the summer it can get rather busy. The ease of access, the close proximity to Smithers and, the fact, the lake is stocked regularly with trout all make Kathlyn a popular destination for locals and travelers alike.

On shore the park area enjoys a small sandy beach and a large grass field. There are picnic tables in the sun and in the shade. Sitting on the edge of the grassy field are wooden viewing benches so to relax and enjoy the water views. Tucked away in the back of the park are the change rooms and outhouses.
