Tribune Bay Provincial Park is located on Hornby Island of the Gulf Islands in British Columbia, Canada. The 95 hectare waterfront park is highlighted by a 1 kilometre white sandy beach and plenty marine scenery and activity.

The park beach on the island attracts many to Hornby Island every year. The bay is said to be one of the warmest ocean bays in British Columbia, Canada for swimming. The park is popular for many other activities as well as swimming including beachcombing, picnicking, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, birdwatching and wildlife watching.

There are also wildlife viewing opportunities in Tribune Bay Provincial Park. Some of the wildlife includes eagles, oyster catchers, herons and sea gulls.

Tribune Bay is very close to the downtown village shops and stores on Hornby Island. So close one can walk to the stores for refreshments and/or snacks while the family enjoys some time on the white sandy beach.

Exploring the beach is made simple. There is a walkway that follows the beach from one end to the other. There is a tennis court at one end of the walkway and services located throughout the park including picnic tables, pit toilets and information signs.

The beauty about the provincial parks on Hornby Island is that they are within walking distance of each other. From Tribune Bay one can walk to Helliwell Provincial Park and visit the viewpoints on the cliffs.

How To Get ToTribune Bay Provincial Park

:
Travel to the island of Hornby via BC Ferries. In Buckley Bay on Vancouver Island, south of the Comox Valley, is a BC Ferry Terminal connecting to Denman Island and Hornby Island. Once on Hornby Island travel along main road to the local CO-OP store. At the general store turn left onto Central Road and continue to the park.
