Montague Harbour Provincial Park Reserve is a popular destination located on the south end of Galiano Island. Galiano Island is part of the Gulf Islands Group which are positioned off the west coast of British Columbia, Canada.
Montague Harbour Provincial Park Reserve was the first marine park to be established in the Gulf Islands of British Columbia, Canada. Much of the park protects the eco systems of Gray Peninsula, Shell Beach and a forest of arbutus and Garry Oak trees.
The park measures 97 hectares and includes many highlights. Some of the main highlights in the park include a beautiful white shelled beach, a sheltered lagoon and a network of hiking trails. The main trail in the park is the 3 kilometre hiking trail exploring Gray Peninsula.
Montague Harbour Provincial Park Reserve is one of the more popular moorage destinations for boaters in the Southern Gulf Islands. It is also a popular launch point for kayakers when paddling Parker Island, Wise Island and the surrounding islets.
Activities on foot exploring Montague Harbour include hiking, camping, sightseeing, beachcombing and picnicking. On the beach is a day use area. There are picnic tables, pit toilets and cold water taps. In the harbour are shops, tours and marine services.
The campground in the park provides drive-in, walk-in and cyclist friendly campsites. They are paying campsites. Some campsites include ocean views while others are hidden in the trees. All campsites are close to the main beach.
Montague Harbour Provincial Park is a birdwatching and wildlife sighting destination. Some of the wildlife viewed includes seals, eagles, Buffleheads, Goldeneyes, Ravens and Mergansers. There are over 130 bird species living on or migrating to Galiano Island.

:How to Get Here: From the ferry terminal travel down Sturdies Bay Rd. On your left turn onto Montague Rd. Follow Montague and turn onto Montague Park Road and proceed to the park entrance.
