Shuswap Lake is the main source of entertainment in the park with fishing attracting allot of attention year round because of the over 15 different species of fish in the lake including Trout , Dolly Vardens, Kokanee, Burbot, and Whitefish. Fishing is reported to be good around Copper Island.

The park includes an extensive day-use area and a very large campground with a good selection of amenities including a paved boat launch, adventure playground, a large grassy field, picnic tables, hot showers, pit and flush toilets. The most popular destination on the lake is Copper Island. It is a small day-use island located just 2 kilometres from the main provincial park boat launch. There is a 2.8 km hiking trail on the island and some day moorage for boaters. There is no camping or fires permitted on the island.
